ADOPTION INFORMATION

In order to insure that the Eastern Shore Animal Rescue League can find loving, permanent homes for our animals, we have adopted a specific set of guidelines to help us in our placement decisions. These guidelines have been developed over time to provide the Eastern Shore Animal Rescue League with a uniform, fair adoption procedure.

We appreciate your understanding as you go through the adoption process.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be 18 years or older and provide a current driver's license. The Eastern Shore Animal Rescue League takes the following things into consideration when adopting: the reason for wishing to adopt, employment status, housing status, allergy considerations, involvement of family members, previous pet history, animal care and housing, existing pets, as well as other factors. Home checks will be performed by one of our volunteers prior to adoption.

Adoption of an animal from the Eastern Shore Animal Rescue League entails certain responsibilities including but not limited to proper vet care, and proper housing, fencing, grooming and feeding.

Because of the many factors involved in adopting an animal from the Eastern Shore Animal Rescue League Inc. we cannot guarantee that an adoption will be completed the same day, nor can we guarantee the right of any potential client to adopt.

ADOPTION FEES & HOURS

The adoption fee for cats and dogs includes: a complimentary veterinary exam by John Hall, DVM, at our Pet Wellness Clinic & procedures as listed below.

DOGS

Fee includes SPAY/NEUTER, Heartworm screen, Rabies vaccine, DHLPP, Bordetella, Home Again Microchip.

CATS

Fee includes SPAY/NEUTER, Feline Leukemia & FIV Testing & Bronchicine, FVRCP, Leukemia Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine.

DOG ADOPTION FEE START AT, $200.00

CAT ADOPTION FEES START AT, $100.00
